(Alternate title: Why SSG Can't Come to Visit This Summer.)
Work BFF: Dude.
SSG: DUDE, it's SWELTERING out here!
Work BFF: The humidity is like 40%.
SSG: What is it normally? Like 15?
Work BFF: I don't know.
SSG: I'm SO Googling that when we get inside. And I can guarantee you it's HIGH today. Like record setting high.
(A few minutes later SSG is staring at her computer screen and reading through Wikepedia.)
SSG: DUDE the humidity is 61% right now!!! Normal comfort level is 30% - 60%! It's OVER THE STANDARD LEVEL OF COMFORT.
Work BFF: By ONE degree!
SSG: I can FEEL IT.
SSG: Ohmahgah! Did you know OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON is the most humid place in the country? That's like RIGHT UP THE ROAD. No wonder I'm DYING.
WB: IT'S NOT HUMID.
SSG: Dying! Over! Here!
WB: Dude. Look at the temperature.
SSG: 73 degrees?
WB: YES!
SSG: What does that have to do with anything? Why are you laughing? Wait where are you going?!

You are so funny. When I lived out in Colorado my friends would complain when the humidity hit like 20%. Are you kidding me? It was amazing how quickly I forgot what it felt like too. When I returned to VA for my first summer after the long absence it hit me like a brick wall.
Mid 90's and humid here again today. Ick!
It's been warm but not humid the last couple of days. I fear that changes today. But there are so many good things about the south in the summertime. I swear. give me a minute...
You are hilarious :) I hate the humidity. Especially when it causes the temperature to go from 85 degrees to 185 degrees. And in VA, it does that. A LOT!
Ha...it is 10 am, already 80 degrees and the relative humidy is already 67%.
The late fall and early spring are gorgeous here though and humidity free.
I completely understand, but not because of the discomfort. No, I hate it more because of what it does to my hair. I'm self-centered like that.
I embrace the humidity....it makes my hair BIG;)
That's why I spend the summer floating in the pool;)
Okay, the humidity this week was ridiculous. I'm glad it just went ahead and rained already. I can't handle my hair frizzing while I'm indoors.
