Post Date Wrap Up

Peeps!

I can't tell you how much I loved all of your words of encouragement and e-mails.  You have NO IDEA how much they helped.  It was like I had my own private cheering section as I was getting ready to go and do this thing.

Internets, we have success.  If for no other reason than SSG was able to actually survive the last 24 hours.  Let me just tell you anxiety was HIGH.  And I wasn't even sure why--I think it just brought up a lot of questions of what if I like him, what if he likes me, do I even want something serious, is he texting me too much?  How do I make time for this?  And more importantly, do I have the OUTFITS that this dating business requires?  And am I going to have to go shopping?

Anyhoo--we live about a mile from each other so the plan was to meet for a glass of wine at a local restaurant.  A glass of wine turned into two which then turned into dinner and a few hours later, we were parting ways in the parking lot.

Conversation was good ... come to think of it, I don't think there was a lull once.  He was definitely able to carry the conversation, which I appreciated .... you all know how much SSG loves to chat.

And more importantly, NO MOM JEANS AND WHITE TENNIS SHOES INTERNET.  V.V. important to SSG.  He looked nice--black work shirt, jeans and I couldn't quite take a look at the shoes for longer than a few seconds but they were black and seemed jeans appropriate.

He was cute.  Not SSG's usual style, but he was confident ... and himself ... I think guys (and us girls) sometimes forget how attractive that can be.

And honestly SSG can't remember how we left things.  Is he calling me?  Is he not?  Are we doing this again?  I have no idea.  I liked that he walked me to my car, gave me a hug and didn't try and suck my face off.  I liked that he listened to me when I spoke.  I liked that he asked me questions and complimented me, but not overly so.

Most of all, I like that he was himself.  And that SSG was herself.

And that ... in and of itself ... is a pretty amazing place to be.

See, you got this. I am so very happy for you. The first step is always the hardest! Just ride with whatever happens and you will never, ever know. Don't worry about tomorrow, just stay in today.

Sooooooo very happy for you.

Sounds like it was a success! Yes, he will call. He sounds like a man with a brain between those ears, and if that is right, he knows a good thing when he sees one! Just stay yourself, and he will be as smitten as me!!!

I am glad to hear that your Hotness did not tongue time him. Some one as Scrmp-Dilly-ishes as you is sometimes hard to approach let alone speak to!

I bet right now he is thinking of how long before he can call you and not seem like a stalker! He is probably wondering if he was worthy of you greatness. In fact, he is probably thinking he hit the lotto or something!

You go on with yo bad a$$ sexiness! Two snaps, around the world and three hip thrusts for you! Woop Whoop!!!!!

Here's to many more dates! With him OR someone else!
